Dr. Alison A. Heaton is an OB/GYN with Women's Health Specialists of Birmingham.
Dr. Heaton strives to create an open dialogue with her patients, individualizing their treatment. She provides 'whole person care" by combining her spiritual beliefs, scientific knowledge and medical skills. She has a special interest in gynecological surgery and minimally-invasive procedures. She is a member of the American Medical Society and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

A native of Jacksonville, Alabama, Dr. Heaton graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she majored in biology. She earned her medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. Dr. Heaton completed her residency at Indiana University.
She and her husband Jason enjoy traveling abroad and spending time with their children Ava and Rowan.
