About
Matthew Jones, D.O., MBA, MS, is an internal medicine physician with Grandview Medical Group. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University and a master’s degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Jonesboro, Arkansas, while simultaneously earning his MBA and completing his internal medicine residency in Fairhope, Alabama.
Dr. Jones provides primary care for adults 18 years of age and older and specializes in all areas of primary care including:
- Annual checkups and wellness exams
- Preventive and integrative medicine
- Holistic and lifestyle medicine
- Chronic disease management
- Hypertension, hyperlipidemia and diabetes treatment
Dr. Jones feels that medicine, at its best, is a partnership. His goal is to meet each patient where they are, understand their whole story and help them build a life they feel genuinely well in. He doesn’t just want to manage disease. He wants to help people thrive, and finally step into their best life.
A former state champion poet turned published author, Dr. Jones wrote his book while completing medical school and obtaining his MBA, a testament to his drive and discipline. Dr. Jones has authored multiple articles and abstracts published in high-tier medical journals and conferences, including CHEST and the American Thoracic Society (ATS). His research spans several disciplines, with published work in neurology, endocrinology and pulmonology.
Outside the office, Dr. Jones enjoys creating health education content on social media and spending time at Smith Lake, where he enjoys water sports.
