Mariam Lobbous, M.D., specializes in family medicine. She has extensive training in diverse areas of medicine, practicing in both rural and urban settings and providing care to patients from newborn to geriatric.
Dr. Lobbous received her medical degree from Faculty of Medicine Assiut University in Assiut, Egypt. She completed her residency with Cahaba + UAB Family Medicine Residency, Rural Track in Centreville, AL, and Birmingham, AL. She was honored with the Humanism in Medicine Award upon graduation, recognizing her compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Dr. Lobbous enjoys hiking, cooking and spending time with family. She loves music and was an active member of the worship team at her church in Egypt and Florida. She is fluent in Arabic.
Dr. Lobbous' commitment to medicine is deeply rooted in her values, reflects her faith and is informed by her life experiences. She believes that medicine is one of the many ways we can reflect compassion, dignity and care to others. As a physician and a parent of a child with special needs, she understands firsthand the challenges patients face within the healthcare system.
