Ryan Shannon, CRNP, is a certified registered nurse practitioner working in the outpatient Grandview Medical Group Neurology clinic. His areas of specialty include multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, stroke and neuropathies.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Samford University, and a master’s degree in nursing from UAB.
His commitment to neurology is deeply personal. Watching his grandmother live with Parkinson’s disease gave him an early appreciation for the profound impact neurologic illness has on patients and their families. Combined with his father’s nearly 25 years of dedication to the multiple sclerosis community, he developed a lifelong passion for advancing neurological care through compassion, education and evidence-based medicine.
Outside of work, Shannon is a runner. He completed the Bank of America Chicago Marathon in 2025. He is also a fraternal twin.
